About Kevin

Kevin Bergman is one of the founders of Heart to Heart Life Coaching LLC. He is a Biblical Discipleship Coach.
Kevin is also an Ordained Minister. He is all about bringing individuals back to the truth within the Word of God and helping them line up their lives with it. He has been coaching and counseling people since 2007.
As a Biblical Coach, Kevin will partner with you setting goals and strategies for a more meaningful and purposeful life. This is a process that is action oriented and future focused...assisting you to identify your personal gifts, personal values, strengths and what works best for your personality type and relational skills. A partnership is formed focusing on positive outcomes. Each individual has different aspirations and faces different challenges. Some clients require more structure, some seek more guidance and some simply need more accountability and encouragement. Kevin and Sherée like to get to the heart of the matter as quickly as possible and are solution focused. They take the "no excuses" approach as they work with clients. What exactly does that mean? It means get ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work on the things that are holding you back from having true happiness in your relationship(s) and life. A key focus of their work is to adapt their approach for each individual and find their "Glass Walls" so they can be different once and for all. They specialize in guiding their clients to achieve results in a most authentic way.
Kevin works with men who are ready to make changes and want to start enjoying a better quality of life. He occasionally works with Sherée along side of him in sessions; however, men's discipleship is solely between Kevin and the men (unless requested a women's point of view). He himself has gone through many trials in his own life; such as being a child of divorce and its affects, like intense anger, resentment, bitterness, insecurity, etc. These things had manifested in Kevin's life into his mid-life crises. In his young adult life, Kevin was involved with drugs and alcohol and God freed him from these. He has also experienced divorce, great financial loss, job loss, homelessness and addiction. As you can see, he does not come from a "pretty" past….but he believes that God is in the restoration business because he has seen and experienced it in his own life and is so grateful for it. Kevin believes that if God can transform his own life, God is totally capable and willing to transform anyones life no matter how bad it is or seems to an individual.
Kevin resides in Algonquin, Illinois and is the father and step father of three (young adult) children. He has been and also still is a lifelong Tool and Die Maker working with custom metal stampings. This being said, he knows the realities of the workplace and how it affects individuals. When Kevin's not coaching, discipling, ministering and preaching, he enjoys doing things with his family and friends, riding bikes, taking walks, rafting, picnicking, researching, sports and sleeping !

Because of my childhood and upbringing, I was left very inept when it came to being a husband and father. I wounded my wife and my children because of my unhealed wounds. I wasn't even aware I had them. When I was confronted about my behavior and attitude, I fought it all the way because I just thought they were the ones with the issues. God loved me so much and He didn't want to leave me that way so He began a process and put the people in my path to healing and disciple me. I was able to get on the right track and then heal my family from the damage I had done. Guys....do yourself a favor....don't fight it!
Counseling focuses on looking in the "rearview mirror" and Life Coaching focuses on looking through the "windshield".
However, occasionally coaches do have to direct you to the rearview mirror to help you move forward.
